Takasu Town, where Holiday House is located, boasts the largest number of ski resorts in Western Japan.
Hirugano Kogen Ski Resort—ideal for families and beginners—is within walking distance.
Takasu Snow Park and Dynaland, the largest ski areas in Western Japan, are only 8 minutes by car.
In addition to skiing, you can also enjoy snow play at Bokka no Sato, beautiful winter scenery, and various seasonal activities.
Winter sports are available from early December to late March.

By Rental Car
We recommend renting a car in Nagoya for the most flexible and comfortable travel.With a car, you can visit the ski resorts anytime—including night skiing, which has no shuttle bus service.
You can also enjoy meals and hot springs at nearby facilities.
You may also visit surrounding attractions such as Hida Takayama, Shirakawa-go, and Gujo Hachiman during your stay.
Important:
There may be snow on the roads.
When renting a car, be sure to request studless snow tires.
Driving on snowy roads with regular tires is prohibited by law.
Our hotel has ample free parking, and no reservation is required.
We recommend Toyota Rent a Car, located inside Nagoya Station with convenient drop-off options at Takayama and other cities.

Holiday House does not have hot spring facilities,
but you can enjoy many high-quality hot springs nearby.
🎿 Ski & Snowboard Rentals (Wear + Gear)
If you need rentals for only one day, it is convenient to rent at each ski resort.
For multi-day rentals, we recommend "Rental shop Olympia", located next to Holiday House. It offers affordable prices, especially for rentals of 4 days or more.
Use Google Translate and reserve on the website, then pick up your gear on the day or the day before.
Return the items on your final day.
If you plan to leave directly from Takasu Snow Park on your last day, consider renting from:

located near the Takasu Snow Park entrance gate.

Many ski resorts in Takasu offer lessons for international visitors.
Lessons are available in English or with translation devices.
Please book directly through each ski resort’s website.
Same-day bookings may be possible depending on availability.

・Matching ages and skill levels results in the best progress.
When skill levels differ, the lesson will proceed at the lower level.

・The JSBA Technical Certification Test can be taken during lessons.
